Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Review | Price Specs And Deals

The mid-range and budget-par smartphone market is loaded with tons of smartphones now. Which one to buy and which ones to ditch? A tricky one! Recently, Xiaomi has launched its new Redmi Note 8 device. We get it that the brand wants to bring dozens of options in the same range but balancing it is tough. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 comes with a better RAM config and a crisp display than its competitors. Other than that, we have seen it all on other devices. Keeping that in mind, is it a worthy buy at this price point? Let’s check out in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 review below:

Design

The Redmi Note 8 is just an affordable model of the new Note 8 Pro. It is not a much affordable model though. On the front, this phone looks like the Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A. There is a thick chain on the bottom packing the brand logo. It is a 6.3-inch screen with a water-drop notch at the top. The device is available in three color variants: Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, and Space Black.
The rear of this phone is packing a camera strip in one corner. The back and front of the device are protected with Gorilla Glass 5. The back looks glossy and is having a gradient finish. Although, it is very difficult to keep smudges and fingerprints away from its back. You can get a Great Discount and Deals on Electronic items online using Gonoise Coupons.

On the right, there is a power button and fingerprint sensor while the volume buttons are on the left sitting high. You get to see a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio socket and single speaker grille on the bottom. On the top, there is an Infrared emitter and the dual-SIM plus micro SD card tray is on the left.

Overall, the Redmi Note 8 is a very well built, solid device but there’s nothing new in this device – when it comes to design.

Coming to the display, the Redmi Note 8 packs.
6.3 inches full HD + display with 1080 x 2280 pixel resolution. Looking at the sub- Rs. 10,000 price point, this is a great display. This IPS panel is certified by TUV Rheinland for blue light reduction when you use it in reading mode.

Performance

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 8 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor, which is also present in Realme 5 and more affordable Vivo U10. The base variant comes with 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage at Rs. 9,999 while the 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage variant can be bought for Rs. 12,999.

The device runs smooth as a spring breeze and that can be seen on the benchmark scores too. On the AnTuTu, this device managed to score 1,69,832 and 314 and 1,327 in Geek-bench 5’s single-core and multi-core tests. As far as gaming is concerned, this device can handle PUBG Mobile with ease. The device runs MIUI 10.3.1 running on Android 9 out of the box.

Battery Life

The new Redmi Note 8 bundles a high-capacity 4,000mAh battery which is decent and can last the device for around one day. Play games, stream videos, take some pics, answer some calls and you will still have some juice at the end of the day.

On the HD video loop test, the device ran for around 13 hours which is pretty good. The device comes with an 18W charger that can charge the device from zero to 40 percent in half an hour and nearly 80 percent in one hour.

Cameras

The Redmi Note 8 packs a rear quad-camera setup which includes a primary 48-megapixel f/1.79 camera, an 8-megapixel f/2.2 wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, the Redmi Note 8 has a 13-megapixel f/2 for selfies. The shots coming out of the primary snapper are well-detailed and sharp. Although, the device struggled a bit in low lighting conditions when the images felt dull.

The images overall come out impressive. When it comes to selfies, they come out with shiny colors and felt shareable at social media too. You can get detail of Off Campus Jobs online from fresh hiring

Final Verdict

The Redmi Note 8 base variant fares against the competition at Rs. 9,999. But, what about the higher variant? The company has played smartly with its RAM and screen resolution. Yes, you get Realme 5 or Vivo U10 for less but you won’t get the same RAM configuration.

The device is really powerful which comes with a high-capacity battery and crisp display. Although, heavy games didn’t run well on this device the overall package beats every phone in this range.

The competition is stiff in this price point and choosing for a device in this price segment is very tricky. And, there is not a single reason why this device will disappoint you. Choose wisely as this price point has many devices that can entice you. Overall, Redmi Note 8 is a hot deal!
